My blog topic was about my Katrina Relief work (scroll down for this). Now it will document my cochlear implant process.

Hey Holly,
Having undergone gallbladder and numerous ear surgeries I can totally relate to the anesthesia fear. My last surgery this past August (cervical spine) the anesthesia effects were MUCH better. No side effects of depression or feeling nauseous. Although I was pretty out of it for two weeks.
Perhaps the anesthesia is a different type these days. Definitely relay your concerns to your surgeon before the surgery date.
We will keep you in our thoughts and prayers. -Carolyn
